Professionally, I have spent the past 9 years working to ensure people have safe, affordable housing across the State of Maine. Through this work I have been in and out of houses across the state. During that time I’ve had lots of conversations not just about housing issues but about basic affordability issues access to healthcare, worries about childcare, concerns about rising utility costs, fears of losing vital SNAP benefits and other programs critical to basic needs for their families.

At the same time, I also spent 8 years serving as a City Councilor in Hallowell where I served as Council President, chair of the finance committee, and chair of the housing committee. I also worked on writing the city’s TIF policy and the 2020 Comprehensive Plan to set goals and shape our community. Again, this role led to lots of conversations. Conversations with renters, property owners, business owners and community members about challenges. Whether it was struggles brought on by tax burdens, code restrictions, flooding of our rivers and climate issues or PFAS in our water. It’s been an honor to bring those concerns and those voices to the table. I know how to take those concerns and turn them into policy.

Over and over, I’ve been the voice for people that needed changes to improve their lives. I want to hear from the people of Manchester, West Gardiner and Hallowell to elevate your voices to be heard in Augusta. I have the experience, passion and dedication to be that. I hope I can count on your support!
